Point Power Generator Tune-ups Include:

Change engine oil
Change oil filter
Change fuel filter
Check/adjust spark plugs
Check radiator, hoses for leakage & pliability
Check antifreeze and add if low
Check unit for fuel or oil leakage
Check and adjust fan and governor belts as needed
Service battery, add water, clean post and replace if necessary
Check charging rate of battery charger
Check AC output voltage (too high is not good for electrical appliances, too low generator will fail)
Check engine speed/frequency
Wipe down outside of generator and engine
Conduct safety shut down checks (oil pressure, over speed, high temp, etc.)
Check ignition system
Inspection of transfer switch for proper operation
Simulate power failure and check operation
